We usually visit the garden, commenting on the ideas and expectations about it, while we pur our expertise and creativity at your disposal to generate design ideas, management guides and techniques to use, as well as establish priorities and tempos. Sometimes it’s hard to be able to see the potential of a garden when it’s your own, so being able to see the space objectively and being able to suggest changes that will make a big difference to how it looks and is used is incredibly satisfying. The comments of “we have fallen in love again with our garden, after years of disconnection” or reconnecting and rediscovering inspiration is the greatest satisfaction we can receive.
Whether we work with a company or an individual, it is always about what each one wants or needs from the garden itself. Our main question is: what do you want to do in your garden and how do you want it to make you feel.
We are big fans of balanced, thoughtful changes. Many times, the foundations of a garden are good, but perhaps our needs and the way the garden is used has changed, or we want to try to adapt to the new needs (water or resistance). We can advise on what changes to make and when is the best time to make them. We can design a creative and succession planting to keep the garden looking good all year round. a complete garden redesign is very expensive and often not necessary. We like to work with what we already have, trying to work in harmony with nature in each specific case, which usually makes and can make a big difference through planting, specially in difficult areas, dark back gardens or exposed front gardens, because they are the most rewarding to transform.
Sometimes it’s simply a process of designing and replanting a space to achieve the desired effect. We can also take care of the design of small gardens or even balconies and patios, which ofter have a big impact on the way these spaces are used and enjoyed. At other times, we divide the work into stages over a longer period to acommodate everyone’s budgets and lifestyles. And of course, we can design a space from scratch or one that needs a complete new design.
